Obituary of John Frederick Hachey

The death of John Frederick “Boomer” Hachey of Minto, NB occurred Friday, February 2, 2024 at his home.

Born in Minto, NB he was the son of the late Anthony Sr. and Ida (Collette) Hachey.

Boomer was a great guitarist and could captivate a room with his outstanding picking, he was inducted into the Minto Country Music Wall of Fame in 2023.

Survived by a son, Michael Hachey; a daughter, Christa Hachey; several nieces, nephews cousins and music friends.

In addition to his parents, Boomer was predeceased by sister, Louise Hachey; brothers, Anthony Jr. and Joe Hachey.

A celebration of life will take place Saturday, May 4th, 2024 at the Minto Senior's Hall. For those who wish, donations made to the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
